Many years ago when I just finished the Carryall, I did not have time to install the Power Hydroboost brakes. I was just running the 1&5/16 jd option, master cylinder. With no more time to spend, I was off to the Iowa rally. I took the Carryall out on my trailer. Once the Carryall was on the ground and in traffic, I realized how poor my brakes really were. I was concerned, Oh I had a high pedal and firm but I hoped I would not have to do any fast emergency stops. When I got home from the rally, first order of business was to add the Hydroboost brakes. I made all the difference in the world. Now the Carryall would stop on a dime. So why do all the manufactures of cars and light trucks add hydroboost to the disk brake package…….because it needs it for dependable stopping.
