Folks,
I am in the process of rebuilding the rear axel in my WM300. The rear wheel bearings are lubed by the gear oil in the differential which got me thinking. I am assembling and the truck is going to sit for a few months (waiting for winter to be done) does anybody use an assembly lube (like manual transmission assembly lube) or is a good soaking of gear oil on the wheel bearings sufficient to prevent any damage until the differential gear oil gets out to them during the first drive?
