Thats what I thought too but when i took apart the rear axel the bearings in the rear hubs did not have any wheel bearing grease on them! At the time i thought this was weird but figured they were lubed by the diff oil. Now time to investigate more.
Question did any of the FFPW rear axels ever lube the wheel bearings in the hubs with diff gear oil?
There is a good possibility the axel is not orginal to my WM300
