If you have not seen/heard about the Austrailian flagship of the first converted Cement truck, follow the link below. This "professional" conversion had some issues to say the least. There was also one that happened in a parking garage and ended up burning down through 3 or 4 levels of it causing millions of dollars in damage. What is not being told the fires from these are way different than others.
The heat from these will burn THROUGH concrete. The media seems to be aviding reporting these nationally or just saying "auto fire" when they are shown. We all can figure out why.
It will be intersting to see how soon insurance companies will charge hirer rates for EV owners or say you can't put you car in an attached garage,
I am not against electric vehicles. If people want them, then that is fine. Get the bugs worked out firstand the infrastructure in place to support them. Be up front with owners that rplacement battery packs for the can be $20,000 plus. I'm just curious how these vehicles will do with age, salt infested roads and time. We all know how corrosion and electrics is.
