Understanding u-joint angles

I have a driveline vibration due to an engine swap. I have read about getting the two universal joints within 3* or less to achieve the desired result..

My question and confusion is around the aspect of finding that 3* number... the elevation aspect front to back is not where I am getting lost... but the side to side aspect.

How does one calculate weather the front (transmission) u-joint is parallel to the transfer case u-joint?
