Been having difficulty starting the 63FF after it's been sitting a couple of days. It began after I changed out the fuel tank so I'm thinking there is a leak in the fuel line and losing vacuum. Priming the carb gets it started again. I can drive around the field and I can shut it off and start again easily but if I idle low for a short time it will stall out and has to be primed again. After replacing the coil I let it idle for 30 min at a higher idle. No problem. Reduced the idle to low and it stalled after less than one minute. Would this be supportive of a vacuum leak that's overcome by a higher idle? Or a weak fuel pump? Or minor vapor lock that is countered by the faster idle? I have ordered a heat shield and fuel line insulation that was missing. I'm reluctant to take it out on the road out of concern it'll crap out and I can't start it. I could raise the idle but think that would just mask the problem? I was thinking of adding an electric fuel pump as backup. Any ideas or similar experience?
Thanks
