Ignition Timing Indicator

I'm looking at a timing chain cover from a 251 that came out of a '63 Power Wagon and I don't see a timing pointer anywhere on it. I'm pretty sure the cover from my 230 engine has a pointer, although I can't seem to find that cover at the moment (but my manuals show a pointer, as expected).

Did the 251s not have timing pointers?
