I've always been hesitant to do it that way, but I've read about a lot of people who do it successfully, so it must not be that much to worry about. But occasionally, I'll read a post by someone who has a lot of experience and swears that vacuum timing is not the right way, and that a timing light should always be used. So that all leaves me a bit confused.
