Nut Splitter

Anyone ever have any luck with a nut splitter? I have a seized nut in a tough spot that I can't get a sawzall or the blue wrench on. I tried a nut splitter many years ago and it mangled the nut but didn't really work. If someone has had luck any tips? I have a old Craftsman one I inherited but have never used this particular one.
