Lubricating wheel bearings?

Ok, wheel bearings. Been reading TM 18-08B and It's not making a lot of sense to me. I guess three is a fill hole in the top of the steering arm. Are you supposed to put oil in there? Grease? How do you know how much? Does this also take care of the wheel bearings? I'm sure this is a long solved issue. Wht are people doing about wheel bearing lubrication?
