If it is a two pinion (early) the axle length will be 36-17/64, the later 4 pinion is 36-15/64. The WDX (complete assembly) will work in the 1/2 ton, but you will need a 1/16 inch spacer between the carrier mounting face and axle housing in addition to a gasket. The WDX will fit fine in the 3/4 ton, but if you have the early axle, you will need to grind 1/32 off the end before it will fully seat. Check the Glove Box for part interchanges between civilian and military trucks.
