I have a set of early 3/4 ton axles with 5.83 gears complete. I have a set of 1/2 ton diffs with 4.89's. And I have 2 front WDX axle assemblies with 4.89 gears and broken axle shafts. I am building at truck and would like to use the 3/4 ton WC axles for the centered differential and the removeable diff covers. Power is coming from a V-8 so durability and the taller gearing is a must. I did not think that WDX differentials would fit into early WC 3/4 ton axles without a lot of machining hence my question about the 1/2 ton diffs just for arguments sake. Thanks for the info fellas!
