Any machinists out there with a easy trick to enlarge a 2-1/4" hole in cast iron, about 1" deep, by maybe .005"? I have a spring-type cylinder hone, but they don't seem to really take off much material, and I think 2-1/4 is too big for a brake cylinder hone and too small for an engine home. I have a 2-1/8" sanding drum -- close but not ideal. It's way too big for adjustable reamers. Flap wheel? DIY tight-fit sanding drum? Patience with the cylinder hones? Some other better idea?
