When I find problems with my WM300, I dangblast it first. It helps relieve the internal stress built up over time. Then I can more clearly discern what I should do about any given problem with my PW.
Every time you find something, dangblast it first, then reason what to do. You'll see, it helps a bunch.
As for the rust up inside the frame spaces, try a spray nozzel of the metal variety so it can be bent and try spraying the rust converter all around in there first then afterwards maybe some thinned out paint.
