I think that the trucks that came with 4.89's and 7.50-16 tires are a 3/4 ton. I have both types of trucks and the springs in the back of the 4.89 geared truck definitely look lighter, and have rear shocks. GVW on the door is still 8700 lbs and pushing a whopping 78 horsepower! Not sure on this lighter rating though.
