When I resurrected my 55 FFPW, I also had smoke for some time. I just let it run at idle, for many hours total. Sometimes at fast idle. Eventually, the smoke stopped and it is still smoke free. I did use both Marvel Mystery Oil and Seafoam in the oil to help clean the internals up. Seemed to work for me.

I would just let it run and see if it gets better over time...
