Two weeks of penetrating oil did nothing for my 230 , we eventually pulled the motor and were able to remove two pistons with a block of hard wood and a sledge hammer the rest went with the block to the recycler.
This I belive is a worst case senario... my engine sat for 18 plus years in a deplorable enviroment.
Here is the part where I try to be helpful
The old guys were I grew up swear by vinegar and about two months worth of waiting. A friend freed a jeep engine that sat for thirty years using this method.
The other option is Coke ( the kind you drink)
When I worked in the oil patch we used it to break down the coorision on well heads that had not been maintained in 40+ years , it worked remarkably well. They were sealed with a metal o-ring and would rust in pretty bad.
On several occasions I saw a full days strugle accomplish nothing and a can of coke poured on the rusted union would free up while the guys had dinner.
All the best
Keith
