Better living through chemistry!
Cola drinks also use phosphoric acid, it used to be in "Lime Away" for cleaning calcium deposits in the bathroom. Phosphoric acid is also used as a 'rust converter' to prep sufaces for paint, it's the stuff that makes the surface turn black.
I've also used vinegar (acetic acid) and pool acid (muriatic acid) -- any old hippy know's acid is better than coke!
and lye dissolves solid aluminum- not just the oxide's- and gives off hydrogen gas.Make your own weather ballon w/ beer bottle, draino, strips of aluminum foil and a condom, tie with string, light end of string, release. Watch neighbors report UFO's!
