I live in North Idaho, lots of hills and mountains. I have original drum brakes and the truck stops just fine. New shoes, wheel cylinders and master cylinder did the trick. Personally, at 35-40 mph, I don't see the point of disc brakes. Now, power steering, that's in my future. All of the parking spaces are now made for Hondas and Toyotas and Passats.
