I'm with you Jerry. I live in hill country, drive more than 35-40 & haven't ever even considered my brakes below average. As far as I'm concerned, if your brakes can't lock up the wheels instantly at 65mph on a WDX-WM300...get someone else to do the brakes for you.
So if they'll lock up the wheels at 65...what more are the discs going to do for you?
I love useful modifications on a truck pieced together out of 3 other trucks but you'll never find me bastardizing the hubs on a nice original vintage truck that's in perfect restorable condition...It just doesn't make sense to me.
I think maybe a few guys here maybe need to hit the gym & do a few squats or somethin cause the drums on these trucks work excellent unless you're planning on installing a 400hp engine...& even then, with the gearing they have...it still would be money wasted.
That's what me thinks...& I've had 20 of them that have all driven excellent in a city of a million bad drivers.
