You are correct, I was directly converting gap difference into taper, which is clearly wrong.

But it is a difference in circumference, so I think we should be able to compute it. I'll get on this, in an attempt to redeem myself.

I was looking for my original taper measurements from the piston difference, but I couldn't find them. It would be interesting to compare.
