Did you have to use a puller to get the bronze cone off the trunion pin or did it slide off easy?
If it fits tight, you may be able to still use the trunion pin. Your not going to like this, but assemble your knuckle flange and kuckle (spindle), adjust the drag to 25 pounds. Turn the knuckle flange to its center position and turn it slightly left and right. Your looking for any play in the woodruff key. Grab the kunckle and pull up and down for any play. If no play, take apart and put on a new bronze bearing and rebuild front-end as needed. If you do have play, this is the ugly part:
Steps:
1 - Grind off the weld inside and any weld that is at the base of the pin on the outside.
2 - Drive the pin out with a punch, but make sure you note the position of the woodruff key slot and try to place the new one in the same position.
3 - Weld it up!
The last time I got NOS M37 Trunion pins from A.B. Linn they were about $2 bucks each. They will interchange as well as the bronze cone.
