Looked at my B4PW front axel today, after removing the steering knuckles. The shafts that go up into the center of the bronze cones are beat up (bottom shafts are OK) pretty bad. Don't quite understand how bronze can do this to steel, but might be due to rust. First pass with the calipers says that I've got 0.994" instead of the 1.000 diameter it should be. Any thoughts out there on corrective measures short of a new axel housing? I can't see using JB weld here, and can't see how to weld and regrind them either. Maybe use a really low temp silver solder to secure the new bearing (I'm using the 23100 roller) in place? Thanks, Rob
