i see that the problem is the 7 in. depth(not to be confused with height) of the top tank and since it is a massive tank my guess is it could be reworked or replaced with one that is narrower so the radiator could go further forward
given that the height of the wdx is much taller than the wc and therefore a larger tank and the wc seems to work well with the wcs seems like a little less tank would be ok
one other thought is if the radiator could be raised in the bracket a hair then the top tank could slide further forward in the shell above the grill and maybe give you the room you need
