I'd look at two things in addition to carefully checking for rust: Check the clutch pedal for side-to-side movement and check the door latch for wear. If the clutch pedal has significant side-to-side movement and there is a deep notch worn in the door latch on the cab side, this truck has seen a lot of use. These trucks can be a frustrating restoration as everything will be worn out.
