If it ant broke dont fix it. If you have a good understanding of point ignition you will never change it out. No more power, No better MPG nothing but spending your money. If the new ignition fails out on the road you will not be able to fix it.I pull the distributor out put it on the bench and have them changed and serviced in no time. The only problem today is finding good points. There are no SOLID reasons for changing over. But Im sure there's somebody out there with all that electric stuff on there 60 year old truck and swears they are the cats meow. Have fun Bill. PS the only person who likes change is a baby with a wet diaper.
