Fires to the left of us, fires to the right of us.
Into the valley of smoke drew the graphic designer!
Well I guess it's our turn to burn.
Everything is away from here, but we get some of the same lightning strikes / :°<
The thunder storms just start more fires instead of raining.
105° two days in a row which is tied with the all time record (1878)! Might as well be in Vegas.
Also a record for 5 consecutive days over 100°. Bombers overhead all day.
Smokey once in awhile with that amber patina to the sunlight.
The area I lived in right below NCAR / NOAA when I first mover to Boulder
might get evacuated soon. The irony that the National weather service
is threatened (NOAA). Supposed to be only 93° today, but already is at 10:30am.
Had to happen... there are so many dead trees with beetle kill over here
and spruce bud worm kills on the western slope. Whole hillsides are brown.
PW content: huge limb from an extra huge poplar tree came down and hung up in a spruce
12ft off the ground. The good news is, it came down opposite one of only 18 W300 crew cabs.
Both trucks are O-Tay. Scary bugger to clear it out with 8ft of it still hanging.
Global warming? Better go water the vegetables.
Ciao for now,
Big G (for goodness)
