Wear sleeves work but because they are so thin + fragile sometimes can be ruined when driving or pressing on.Brazing or welding works but the surface must be machined sanded + polished so it wont tear up the seal. I have experimented with various types of epoxy on a varity of different surfaces to fill pits or build up low spots or gouges in hubs due to a ruined bearing + race or on yokes that a seal has wore a groove right in the metal with some preparation + finish work with different grits of files + sandpaper + emery cloth it will usually hold oil or grease for a while
