It's good you can get the yokes repaired, they can weld or braze then machine, or turn it down and sleeve - seen them done both ways when there were small shops here - not so many these days although most country towns have a local machine shop of some sort. Why do you want stronger rear axles - I think with 6x6 and a 6, it would be difficult to break them??
