It's OT because it's my Chevy truck, but does anybody know any good tricks for separating stuck ball joints? I can't get either the upper or lower joints to break loose despite pounding with a hammer, using the pickle fork, and most recently putting a "10 ton" hydraulic power pack between them and pumping it as hard as I can. I can't see how any good could come of taking a torch to it, so I'm kind of out of ideas. Got to get it apart not only to replace the worn out joints but because the spring is broken.
