My Hurricane 4 cyl engine - is a mere breeze I believe its only intermittently or not firing at all on all 4 & runs rough. Vacuum needle pulsates wildly between 0 and 10 inches - the red zone on dial. Should be steady in the green 20 inches. Timing strobe shows mark on pulley dead on the mark on timing cover and I have good compression (fresh rebuild). raw gas does spray out of carb throat and I get a good spark between the spark plug wire ends and the ends of the plugs. After removing plugs they appear sooty also. Also when I pull the plugs one by one from the running motor, only when I pull number 2 is there a define change in sound. overall the motor has a rough sound to it- in the head area not block.
This is a good puzler for anyone who know motors and I am outta ideas
