So there is a small car show the next town over. I thought it would be cool to bring the M37. There were about 75 cars there, and maybe 5 in original trim. Lots of modified and hot rods.
This guy comes up to me and is very excited to see my truck, exclaiming how his buddy has one JUST LIKE IT!!
Then he shows me how his buddys has huge mudder tires, and is a Willys, and has a Chevy 350 engine, and is on a Blazer frame!
I refrained asking him how that was "just like" mine?
I gotta say, this was just about the most boring day I have spent in a really long time.
There was an immaculate 49 Lincoln right next to me, just beautiful, and the only car like it in the show, meaning original and in great shape. There were a couple of other original vehicles, but his was by far the nicest. When they handed out trophys, nothing for him, but the 70 something Mustang next to his got one, the 84 Chevy half ton pickup with some chrome under the hood got one etc. etc.
I dont think I have much future with car shows.
