It comes either semi-annually or annually and still gripes me--Insurance for our PWs. Here in my state the local license tag office will not issue a tag unless you prove that you have minimal liability, uninsured motorist, and medical insurance on each truck. It is instantly confirmed with all insurance companies licensed in the state, connected to the state computers. Let a policy expire without turning the tag in and you will be fined.
In addition to daily drivers, I have four unrestored, operational trucks that get minimal use on the farm--I'm talking about less than five thousand miles grand total, each year, for all four. Only one will be semi-fit for a show this year. Both companies that I carry my regular car policies with charge me approximately $100 each, every six months even though I am the only driver. I can't reason with them, at all, that there is no measurable risk times four (4x). If I want to drive them--pay up! With the power of the state to force it, simple free market competition is not their concern.
If there have been one or two companies mentioned on this forum, over the years, that offer only essential liability coverage with minimal restrictions/conditions, and licensed in most states, I've missed it. Suggestions are always welcome.
