I know what you are saying Dana. They never asked me either. I opened my big mouth and asked them. I told them I used the truck for pleasure and an occational run to Home Depot for plants/mulch etc. I dont even take mine offroad {yet}. Hagerty rep said "sorry sir-we cant insure you for that reason alone". Sad part of it is you are way more likely to be involved in a claim on the street than offroad. Most of us who drive these trucks are pretty careful so the risk of filing a claim may be offset by the cheaper rates.
