My original 230 motor spun the #3 main bearing. I swapped out with what is suppose to be a good motor. I still run the 24 volt system and i noticed a few things.
1. I had no engine vacuum while cranking. I found a stuck exhaust valve and few others out of adjustment. I still only have a 2 to 7 pounds vacuum while cranking. is this enough?
2. i had spark when i first started cranking the motor over. Now i don't seem to have any at all. The distributor was a rebuild unit that ran great before. Points are gaped correctly and it is getting 24 volts to the coil. can a brand new condenser go bad that quick?
3. I am not seeing gas on the plugs but i did find some at the bottom of the intake. related to the poor vacuum maybe?
