All true. But, the only real difference between the NP200 and the much vaunted "bulletproof" NP205 is a minor difference in the shifter and shaft designs that make 2WD high straight thru in the 205 and offset in the 200. The difference accounts for the heat buildup difference. We all fuss over the heat buildup in the NP200 and the high speeds required with 5.83s. But how often does this transfer case grenade? Not often.
