Vapor Lock

I have a STOCK 1950 truck. When I make trips greater than an hour in 90 degree weather, I have a serious vapor lock problem if I shut it down (for gas or a stop). It will NOT self clear even after cool down. I can't imagine this being there originally. Can anyone send me a picture of the routing of the gas line from the fuel pump to the carb (I'd like to see the ORIGINAL way). Thanks---all suggestions are welcome.
