Revvign so high the return filter can't take the flow?

Hmmm, a worn pump that won't make enough pressure to get the job done, needs lots of revs to make pressure, meaning lots of volume, the filter can't handle the volume and phsssks all over the place?

Or B) don't valves have return lines too? Allowing the oil to bypass at teh valve, then when the valve is actuated, the return port gets closed as the outlet to the ram opens? so maybe a bad valve is bypassing, lowering pressure, and increasing return flow?

And/or C) bucket trucks are safety risks. I wonder if the have restrictors at the rams, to absolutely slow down the speed that the ram can ever move, if a hose blows? If so, a plugged restrictor would make the whole system have to work waaaay hard. Hmm, is being stuck up in the air when the filter blew a sign of something? Umm, you could starve to death if the engine stalls? Just don't seem right to me...
