MU2 bearing cup removal?

Anybody removed the roller bearing cups from a winch? There's no way to get at them from the back, and a pair of crow-foot prybars won't pry them out. My cups aren't too bad -- good enough for winch purposes -- but they need to come out to change the seals. What's the trick?
