I compared the gauge to two other gauges and they were within 10#
I pulled the right front wheel and inner fender PVC line and adjusted the valves hot and running. Every valve caused a miss when I had the feeler gauge in place so I would think they are all doing thier thing.
The vacume reading came up to 19.5# and stabilized but adjusting the valves made no difference on the cranking compression.
While I was in there I found the intake man. mostly plugged ar the PVC fitting and a bad Oring on the oil pump cover.
Other than having some burnt knuckles and the clikitty clack of the tappets being looser it was a great day in the shop.
And I found my next mission, the water pump creeps forward when revved. funny it doesn't leak.
