Sorry, that was an innapropriate response of mine. I hope they are not either. I really don't know who makes them. But, the pool of places willing to reproduce this stuff is shrinking fast. Unfortunately, we have backed ourselves into a corner and now have to source parts from the few who will manufacture them for the amounts of money we want to pay.
Lately, out of habit, I have found myself applying the "made in china" reference as a generic label to anything that I am unsure of as to where it came from. If I can not walk into the local NAPA and see the country of origin clearly printed on a sealed package, or know with confidence that the part I am holding is NOS, an original used takeoff, or carefully crafted by an enthusiast, then I refer to it as "made in china".
I didn't mean it literally.
