Priming small parts

What are peoples thoughts on the best way to prime small parts after they are media blasted or the rust is removed electrolytically?

I'd like to use an epoxy primer, but mixing up a small batch of primer to use in an air gun seems like a waste. Is there any issue with not painting the final coat in several days with an epoxy primed part?

What are people's thoughts on a Rust-Oleum primer or an Eastwood primer?
