Some things to watch for when using Picklex.
Per manufacture- Do not apply water or let water come in contact with picklex after treatment it will cause it to fail as it washes off.
Per manufacture- Picklex molecularly bonds with steel but again, water will wash it off.
Per manufacture- Do not use any solvent before or after treatment as it could cause it to fail.
Per manufacture- Primer must be applied after picklex and filler on top of that. fillers will not bond correctly to picklex.
Per manufacture- If you leave it set awhile there is no need to scuff it, just wipe it off with a WATER dampened rag.
Per manufacture- After sandblasting, again use no solvents. Wash metal down with water and let dry.
Picklex must be COMPLETELY sealed with a topcoat. Any future contact with water will cause failure of this rust inhibiting product.
If anyone wants to try some I have 3/4 gallon left I'd gladly sell for $20.00 + exact shipping. I think it sells for over $80.00 now. Paul might have some too to sell.
