well tim i am not the one changing MY cylinder heads but every one has there own opinion mine is just based on 53 years of experience and have all the neccasary licences a 1) heavy equip ,2) truck coach ,3) automotive repair 4) collision repair ,5) spray painters 6) welding ticket high pressure 7)diesil endoresment plus about twenty some courses that i took Cummins engine ,GM detriot diesil,fuller transmission, eaton , haye s dana spicer ,borg warner ,catipilar 36series chelsy ptos, mack truck inline school ,and more than i can remember as with age the memomry fades but i wish you the best and hope your motoring soon ~Copey ps check the cam and timing chain now the heads are off
