Yes, I agree. All our welding machines in the Shipyard are Miller except a few Esabs that we use for jet welding. We used to have the old generator style Lincoln's, & still have a few that must be at least 60 years old but around the sand blasters they go through brushes like crazy...as you could imagine.
I own a Hobart mig that's never been into the shop for any reason in 15 years. I'd love to upgrade to a Lincoln 215 but I've been thinking more & more about keeping the old Hobart & finding a nice old Tig welder for welding up all the holes in the firetrucks :)
