back to wheels

I did some numbers checking of the wheels I'm working on. Seems the wheels are Budd and the rings are Goodyear, maybe that is why the gap is a bit excessive. I've looked around my yard at a bunch of tires on my other trucks and most don't have hardly any gap on the ring. Maybe I need Budd rings?? Does anyone know what VPW sells for lock rings? I may buy a few.
