Terry, I just might buy a couple new rings from VPW mine are a little beat up. I'm not real worried about the gaps just curious why the difference from tire to tire. I've never had any problems changing tires with split rings ever,it's a piece of cake. Like you said, just make sure the ring is fully seated and stand back when airing up for the first time. Chain the tire if desired. I guess these winter months hanging around the furnace in the shop makes your mind wonder off thinking about things that don't really matter. I should just get on with mounting the Power Kings and get them on the truck. ha ha!
