I never knew there was different main (crankshaft?) pulley. Although the truck came with a military distributor and a military air intake, the head wasn't drilled for a military (1/2" IP) temperature sender, and it didn't have a double-acting fuel pump, so it's possible it was a civilian engine swapped in at some point. Now I'm concerned that if the main pulley is too small, the generator won't spin fast enough to generate. The generator was a take-out, and I've never bench tested it, so it might not even be good. I did take it apart, check the brushes and commutator, and put new bearings in it. I guess I'll find out when I get it running. Now I'd like to see a military main pulley somewhere so I know what to look for. This one looks to be just about the same size as the water pump pulley.
