The Utiline bed was used without major change until 1985. During the 1961-71 era there were 6 1/2 foot, 7 1/2 foot, 8 foot, and 9 foot Utiline beds. The 8 foot beds replaced the 7 1/2 foot beds on the conventional cab trucks in 1965 1/2. The WM300 Power Wagon had an 8 foot bed for the whole run.
This is a Utiline bed on a 1961-71 truck, so the truck cab is of the style that is sometimes known as the Sweptline era. That makes it a Utiline bed on a Sweptline era truck if you want to use that name. But again I can not find any factory literature that calls the whole line of trucks Sweptline. In the literature I have the trucks are just called Low Tonnage of the year the literature is from, like "1961 Low Tonnage Dodge Trucks". Or sometimes "Light Duty".
I consider this to be a Utiline bed on a 1961-71 truck, as that is clearer for most people.
On to the 1957-60 Utiline bed...
