Tieger was laid to rest today. A good friend is gone. She has been a part of the family for 11 years. She was a very good family member and will be deeply missed. We knew if anybody came on to the property and so did they. She bark to let us know then she would go and investigate the person. At that time she would discover that she had just found her "long lost friend" even though she had never seen them before. However, a few people she kept at bay and it was for the best. The mailman never liked her even though she stood there wagging her tail She knew who was acceptable or not. We never had to worry about her and she took care of us. I was her alpha and she would do anything for me except let me give her a bath with the hose. She wanted warm water.
She was a German Shorthair pointer and a very large female at 80+ lbs for that breed.
She left quickly with kidney failure which is not common in dogs.
